Lord, do not allow us to use You
so that You will provide for our purposes.
Purge from us any other purpose
than to know You and experience You.
The world does not need anything from us.
But the world needs You.
We do not need You now so that this will happen
but we need You, full stop.
We need You for everything.
Teach us to enjoy You, engage with You,
interact with You in this project and our lives.
Teach us to open up to You
so that You can work in and through us.
Teach us to be quiet before You
so that You can speak to us.
Not to give us a list of things to do
but to develop us, to speak life into our lives,
so that we become the message we desire to share.
Lavish Your love on us
so that we become the love we desire to give.
Lavish Your words on us
so that our hearts and minds continuously thrive in eternity
as we execute in the temporary.
Lavish Your presence on us,
not for any purpose, but that we can have more of You.
That Your Heart, Your character, Your being will be our home.
Purify us Lord from any form of self-delusion and lie.
Purify us Lord from our fallen self.
Purify us Lord from the effects of the world.
Help us see You, experience You, hear You
so that we will know You,
become more like You and obey You.
