Title: Understanding suicide from the perspective of the Gospel of Jesus Christ
The purpose of this course is to equip Christians who are passionate about suicide prevention or helping those who are working through the grief of suicide bereavement. At the end of the course, the community of students will present their answers to the questions, “Where is Jesus Christ in suicide?” and “What is God doing about suicide?” As a group, we will explore “faith-grounded” suicide prevention and bereavement.
This is a Christ-centered and suicide focused course. One’s center is Christ while the focus of the outreach is suicide. This course is also soul-centered and body-focused based on the Christian understanding that a human being is the unity of his or her body and soul.
