Humility framework (strength of a Humility Leader)

The strength of a humility leader is from two sides of the framework.

EVERYTHING IS BORROWED

A humility leader has understood and accepted the reality that who he is, what he has, everything about his life including his very life, is borrowed. One day, he knows he will have to give them back though he doesn’t know when he has to give it back.

He is willing to give everything back because it was never his in the first place. He holds nothing back because there may not be another moment to use it. He makes the most out of it so that when it is time to give it back, it would have made a profit. He sharpens it, continually improves it, and polishes it, because he wants to give it back better than it was given to him.

He is thankful for the borrowed opportunities: his life, his body, soul & spirit, his family, his friends, his talents, his gifts, his responsibilities, his privileges, his time, and everything and everyone that is important to him. (Next Wednesday, I will explain the benefits of this principle.)

CONTRIBUTION MENTALITY

Everybody he comes into contact with has something to contribute to his story, and he has something to contribute to them. He understands that we are all part of a bigger story. He is willing and looking to contribute because we are going to affect everyone anyway, why not make a positive contribution.

Each positive, even negative, experiences he has with another person is a contribution from that person to his life. It is how he accepts them that determines how they are going to impact him – he accepts all of them as positive contributions to his life. Every good experience is an opportunity to rejoice, and a lens to see the world as a beautiful place. Every bad experience is an opportunity to grow, and a lens to see the world as a work in progress, which gives him another opportunity to contribute. (Next Thursday, I will explain the benefits of this principle.)

These two perspectives go hand in hand in a humility leaders’ persona. He holds nothing back because it’s borrowed and he sees every experience as an opportunity to give back whenever he can or receive whenever necessary.
